We had a wonderful experience at New York Café in Budapest! The atmosphere is absolutely stunning, and the food was excellent. We had the Eggs Benedict and the pancakes with mascarpone – both were delicious, fresh, beautifully presented, and definitely worth trying.
The service was outstanding and made our visit even more enjoyable. Our waitress, Bianca, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. She took great care of us throughout our visit and made us feel very welcome.
Overall, a fantastic experience with great food, beautiful surroundings, and excellent service. A special thank you to Bianca for making our visit so memorable! We would definitely come back and highly recommend New York Café. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Incredible experience! The interior looks spectacular, literally like a castle filled with gold and crystal chandeliers. The coffee and traditional Dobos cake were excellent and served superbly. The prices are high, but you pay for the entrance to history and an ambiance that does not exist anywhere else in the world. Live music in the background creates the perfect atmosphere. It is recommended to come early in the morning to avoid the crowds at the entrance. A pure five!

Not long ago I bought a book called "150 coffee shops you should visit before you die" and thanks to this book I came across the New York cafè, which intrigued me for the reinassance style architecture. Discovering this cafe led me to book a flight for Budapest (yes, I booked a flight only for this coffee shop).
My experience was overall magnificent. I stayed two full hours and despite the long queue I wasn't rushed to leave (despite my table was booked for 1h). I had a first drink then a main followed by dessert and coffee.
The stuff was very nice, the food was really good and loved the entertainment with piano and violin player. In particular one violin performance was the Game of Thrones theme (a show that I love).
The overall experience was just mesmerizing and it's a place I would raccomend everyone to visit at least once.
I hope I'll have the chance to go back to experience this again.

The coffee place is beautiful. I reserved in advanced and there was no waiting time. They placed us at a very nice table next to the window, the service with Agnes was really good. She was very polite and welcoming.

Hi, my friend and I were really happy we were able to have breakfast in this beautiful cafe. We got here around and didn’t wait long. Absolutely loved the pianist, lovely! The Hungarian hot meal was delicious. Most importantly, Bianka provided us with excellent service and a warmth. Visiting from Chicago! Thank you

Absolutely amazing experience at New York Café! The place is truly unique, especially the beautiful and elegant interior.
I ordered the cheesecake and a café latte, and both were excellent. The service was also good.

We had a great Goulash soup, dessert was ok ish and coffee was good. I guess we came here to enjoy the venue and experience the history this place carries. The decorations, the fine details and the classic music are the main factors that did it for us!

The service was amazing, especially from B.Balázs. I ordered a Dubai hot chocolate, and both the presentation and the taste were wonderful. I loved it.
I recommend coming early if you don't have a reservation, so you can get a table right away.

One of the most beautiful rooms I’ve ever eaten in. You walk in and the gilding, the frescoes, the light it stops you for a second.
Photos really don’t do it justice.
The service matched the setting: attentive, warm, and unhurried even though the place was busy. We were made to feel looked after from the moment we sat down.
If you’re in Budapest, come. Even just for coffee. It’s an experience as much as a café.

This spectacular New York cafe is a few minutes walk from the Europeum shopping centre or just near the bus station of Blaha Lujza tér M. It is truly a memorable and a historical experience. Here there is live entertainment - violinists, pianists - ‘the works’. I ate ice cream with real blue berry fruit and crumble topping. And the blue berries were fresh and there were about 12 pieces of blue berries.

One of the best experiences you can have in Budapest! Worth the wait so please have patience! But in order not to wait just go early to skip big lines. Make sure you have full battery because this is what this place is all about! We tried only the cafe! Prices are high but worth, cause people only go for pics not the food 😂

It’s certainly a splurge, but absolutely worth it. The setting is beautifully elegant, and while the food and drink selections are lovely, the true luxury is the experience itself. Enjoying coffee and cake in such a beautifully nostalgic atmosphere feels almost like stepping into a different era—a charming time capsule filled with old-world elegance.
And our server, Vanda, was simply wonderful. She made us feel genuinely welcomed and special throughout our visit. She truly did a “Vanderful” job!

It is breathtaking, luxurious and relaxing. The eccellent food, the beautiful decor, the live violin all came together to give us an unforgettable experience. I recommend it to all! A once in a lifetime experience. ✨️

The most beautiful café in the world, and it truly lives up to the name. The coffee and cakes were delicious. Big thanks to David for the great recommendations and the warm welcome. Five stars!
Stepping into New York Café feels like traveling back in time. The live music and the golden decor are stunning. Our server, David, was very polite and spoke excellent English, ensuring everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

Beautiful café with an amazing atmosphere and stunning interior. A special thanks to Sz. Krisztian for his friendly and attentive service. We were visiting with our baby, and his thoughtful gesture of bringing coloring paper and pencils was greatly appreciated. Overall, a wonderful experience and highly recommended.

The New York Café is truly one of the most beautiful and impressive cafés in Budapest. Incredible architecture, marble columns, chandeliers, frescoes, and elegant details make you feel like you’ve stepped into another era. The atmosphere is absolutely spectacular. The food and drinks prices are definitely higher comparing all other places in Budapest. To get available table might take time and you should most probably wait in line.

B. Balasz was an excellent server today. Just the right amount of attention, great communication, friendly. Of course atmosphere is incredible. We walked up at 11am on Friday and waited 5 min for a beautiful table. Food was also incredible. Overall Lovely!
